Laura grew up in the suburbs of Chicago as the youngest of six, and being surrounded by so many people naturally shaped her into an extroverted, social person. Her family has German and Dutch roots several generations back, and she carries a lively, open spirit that reflects the home she grew up in. She’s passionate about fitness and art, which often come together through her love of dance. People are always surprised to learn she’s allergic to bug spray (a tough twist for summertime), but she takes it in stride. When she needs joy or peace, she turns to drawing or playing piano, and her go-to way of expressing herself is simply through talking and connecting.
