Jea is from Paterson, New Jersey, and grew up in a deeply creative family with Colombian, Jamaican, and Nicaraguan roots. Surrounded by painters, designers, and sculptors, she learned early to trust her artistic voice and show up fully in everything she does. She’s passionate about creating whether she’s oil painting, DJing, crafting visuals, or designing something new.

Her music taste comes from her immigrant parents, who raised her on classic rock, metal, funk, and jazz, and she can even play a little guitar. Lately, she’s been designing her own journals because she knows exactly the aesthetic she wants. Jea expresses herself through art and fashion: she either paints what she feels or wears it. Her personality’s theme song is “Little Wing” by Jimi Hendrix.
