Coko is Japanese and Black, born and half-raised in northern Japan before moving around often as a military kid. She loved it because each new place introduced her to different people, cultures, and landscapes that shaped her curiosity and creativity. She’s passionate about mixed-media visual art, from painting and drawing to photography, and she feels most at peace hiking or being outdoors surrounded by nature. Interestingly enough, her real birth name Coko, is inspired by Coko from the R&B group SWV. Her happy place is the beach because she’s truly her best self there, from sunrise to sunset. She expresses herself through fashion, always picking out a fun outfit no matter where she’s going. If her personality had a theme song, it would be Flowers – Sunship Edit by Sweet Female Attitude because it’s fun and just sounds like a great day ahead.
