Acuiei is from Omaha, Nebraska, and growing up South Sudanese in America gave her a unique ability to see life from multiple perspectives. Silly, observant, and honest, she values staying connected with her family and friends and finds purpose in building strong community.

She speaks English, Spanish, and a bit of Arabic and sign language, a reflection of her curiosity and love for communication.
